Acute Stroke Unit (aka Acute Stroke Management Unit)

An eight bed unit that provides special care for patients within the first 3 to 7 days after a stroke. The goal of the unit is to have all medical tests, team assessments and special care provided within this time frame. Once this is done, the patient may be moved to another bed within Regina General Hospital Unit 5A, another nursing unit, rehabilitation, home hospital or home.

Persons having had a recent stroke.
Wheelchair access - designated parking spaces; Wheelchair access - lowered elevator buttons; Wheelchair access - front or side or back doors; Wheelchair access - ramps; Wheelchair access - washrooms (at least one)

Visiting hours: Mon - Sun 11 am - 8 pm
